1）应该在什么时候实施绝育手术？

太早結紮會不會造成荷爾蒙不平衡？
我的貓咪是5個月結紮的，有朋友跟我說這可能使尿道 變窄小，而增加得尿道結石的機率，有這種說法嗎？
施子:
我1995年回國，當時在美國收容所有很多建議貓狗三個月就做結紮，但是醫界對此仍有許多爭議。
我的感覺是，希望儘早結紮的動機是避免「夜長夢多」，早結紮較沒問題。尤其很多狗貓幼齡送認養，追蹤認養人回來結紮比較麻煩，又不能百分之百保證，所以不如先閹了。
這到底對牠們的生理有沒有不好的影響？美國現在已經全面贊成幼齡結紮了嗎？

我找了一些相關網頁（每一篇都有獸醫或學術機構的研究佐證），關於 Early Spay/Neuter，找到的答案幾乎都是相似的，也就是早期結紮並不會有不良的副作用。節錄一些於下：

Years ago, when safe pediatric anesthetic techniques were not available, waiting until a patient was older increased the safety of surgery. Altering no longer needs to be delayed for this reason. These studies were conducted on animals ranging from 7 weeks old to 12 months old. Those 7 weeks old did not react any differently than those who were 12 months old.

關於「早期結紮」醫生的意見與民眾看法：
醫生的意見
不論公母，越早結紮（3～6月）越好。
好處如下：
免於性器官發育困擾(OHE&CAS)
免於性不雅行為困擾(OHE&CAS)
免於懷孕困擾(OH)
免於播種困擾(輸精管結紮手術)
民眾看法：
已經懷孕了才要結紮
已經被配到才要結紮
已經生太多，夠累了，才要結紮（最常見）
粉少主動要求早期結紮（公母皆然）
特別反對公狗結紮（沙文主義者）

儘早結紮當然省麻煩，但是請考慮犬隻是否已發育成熟。我的做法是只要一發情，6個月以上就可以做。
手術出血只要照教課書正常做法，不是問題。

子宮卵巢一起拿，稱為 OHE。
CAS = 雄性閹割，就是把睪丸切除。
